Large Mining Equipment Transporter (Low Boy)

We designed and engineered a large mining equipment transporter or low boy.  The transporter bed can be tilted hydraulically to facilitate driving equipment on and off, which typically provides for loading a D11 dozer in 4 minutes.  The bed is sized to also load and move overburden drills. The strength and fatigue were optimized with FEA.  Full specifications and manufacturing drawings for the machine were created.  Several transporters were built and are operating on surface mines.
